Is it possible to be
Raw but numb
Wise yet ignorant
Inspired and still hopeless
Energetic, yet pushed beyond fatigue
Can a person feel
Certain of their path but beaten down by obstacles
Beautiful but far too ugly to be seen
Strong enough to move mountains alone, yet need to be held, cherished and protected sometimes
Powerful but helpless
Do people see
A writer or a hack
A loyal friend or a joke
A brave traveller or a scared little mouse
An angel or a whore
A true original or just a bitch
Do you ever
Want to believe but can't find a foothold
Know, finally, that it's real but are terrified it will never be yours
I think perhaps, that's just how life feels sometimes. Or....is it just me?
