What if there was an oak
Standing tall
Towering and strong
In the forest
What if there were a raindrop
Sliding easily down a mushroom
Under the oak
Landing softly on the moss below
What if an ant came by
For a sip of water from that drop
And then waited under the mushroom
For the shower to let up
What if I sat quietly on the moss
Careful not to disturb
The oak
The moss
The mushroom
The ant
Nor even the drop
And what if we called it
A perfect afternoon
