We hold on to our delusions
Because they keep us safe
Unwilling to see what’s real
We walk the road that’s straight
Chuckin’ out the diamonds
Holding tight our rocks
Never take a risk
Not so much as a thought
A life lived in the slow lane
Afraid to let it go
You can’t imagine changing
And so, you’ll never grow
Tell yourself it’s good enough
I’m happy! You insist
But when I poke a hole in that
You get so freakin’ pissed
So stay in your little bubble
I’m sure the air is fine
There sure ain’t much to see in
there
So glad your life ain’t mine
