We fight change
Because the unfamiliar
Scares us
Old beliefs
The comfort of what is known
And so we hold tightly
Even if it’s not working
Turning your face into the wind
It isn’t easy
We’d rather turn away
Back into our warm cocoon
Never growing
Not moving
And then we question
Why we feel so empty
Better to embrace the new
Face the challenge
Put in the work
Not giving up
You’re so much stronger than you
think
