Honesty

Questioning
I believed
All honesty
Is a good thing
Now
I'm not certain
Are there times
When you should
Hold back, not speak?
I have never believed it
In fact, I have fought it!
Sometimes
Even a beautiful truth
Can cause problems
And so now
I question
Are some things
Better kept
In the heart?
And, unbelievable!
I consider
That for a time, at least
I will consider very carefully
Before I speak
The question.....
Can I still be me?
